The @arcenpay/agent package exports 15 standard Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool definitions via ARCENPAY_MCP_TOOL_DEFINITIONS and provides a built-in dispatcher createArcenAgentMcpTools(agent). It also ships a ready-to-run stdio MCP server (arcenpay-mcp) — no server boilerplate required.

The 15 Production MCP Tools

0. Runtime & session tools (3 tools)

2. ArcenAuth Mandate & Policy tools (4 tools)

3. Verify-Then-Settle Escrow tools (4 tools)

Run the MCP server (arcenpay-mcp)

The package ships a stdio MCP server. Point any MCP host at it:
Never paste a real private key into a shared config or commit it. Use your host’s secret/env mechanism.

Programmatic use

Build a custom server (or embed the tools in your own runtime) with the exported primitives:

Connecting to Claude Desktop

Add the server to your claude_desktop_config.json:
  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
Now, when you ask Claude:
“Inspect the payment link at https://app.arcenpay.com/pay/dataset-alpha and pay it if it costs under $10”
Claude will call arcenpay_resolve_payment_link, check the budget, and execute arcenpay_pay_payment_link autonomously.
